Maroons to gamble on injured Broncos star Justin Hodges for Origin II

QUEENSLAND are poised to gamble on gun centre Justin Hodges by backing him to break a 33-day layoff and line up against the Blues in Origin II in Sydney on June 15.
And in another major boost for the Maroons, fellow backline stars Greg Inglis and Lote Tuqiri are set to return from injury in this weekend's NRL fixtures, easing concerns of a centres crisis after Origin I lionheart Willie Tonga was sidelined with injury.
While Inglis is preparing to wage war against former club the Melbourne Storm, it is believed Broncos star Hodges is firmly in the frame to mark his return from a hamstring strain at Sydney's ANZ Stadium.
The Maroons will be out to seal a sixth straight Origin before chasing a second straight clean sweep in champion captain Darren Lockyer's July 6 farewell at Suncorp Stadium.
